As family members and supporters of our BSU Bears, we want to make sure you have access to resources to help understand your student's journey and better support their success. Therefore, as part of the BSU Family Hub experience on EngageBSU, we have created this online resource page called Crimson Beginnings for Families & Supporters. Feel free to visit this site as often as you need to for helpful and up to date information for your student.

Here are a few tips for navigating the Crimson Beginnings online resource for family members and supporters:

• This online resource contains 9 sections of information outlined below to help you help your student succeed at BSU.
• You can use the checklist Crimson Beginnings for Families & Supporters of New BSU Bears to get an overview of the different sections.
• Be sure to have your speakers turned on for audio/video supplemental tools.
• You may leave this resource at any time and come back to it.
• We are sensitive to and acknowledge that students are supported by many members of their village. For the purpose of our programming, the terms "parent" and "family" are inclusive of the diverse social dynamics that define a student's personal support system. For some students, a "parent" may include biological parents, stepparents, extended family members, foster parents, and legal guardians. "Family," for other students, may be immediate family, extended family, close friends, siblings, or spouses.
• Crimson Beginnings for family members and supporters provides information about BSU resources through written content, videos and motion graphics. In some instances, the video content speaks directly to the student, however, is included to inform you about the BSU community and the services supporting your student's success. We understand you are assisting in this important transition and hope you find these videos helpful.
