Pride Center

Pride Center Programs & Services

The Pride Center sponsors a variety of events and activities, including:

  • Monthly discussion groups
  • Lavender Graduation celebration
  • Trainings and workshops such as Safe Zone and Queer People of Color 101

The Center can put your student in touch with faculty who can tell them more about the LGBTQ Studies minor, which gives them opportunities to research, study and explore LGBTQ+ topics from multidisciplinary fields.

Support Services

The Pride Center coordinates a variety of services to help LGBTQ+ students succeed, including:

  • On-campus resources specifically geared to support LGBTQ+ students of color, transgender and nonbinary students, pansexual, bisexual, and asexual students.
  • Lavender Living Learning Community
  • Mentoring and support from faculty and staff
  • The Barney Frank Equality Scholarship

Transgender Resources

The Center promotes transgender visibility, empowerment, and inclusion through education, support, and advocacy. We help campus partners to continuously improve their policies and practices to better support transgender students regarding housing, restrooms, preferred names and pronouns, and more.

Job Opportunities
The Pride Center offers paid opportunities for students to make a positive difference in the LGBTQ+ community.

Stop By
Your student is welcome to visit the Pride Center student lounge in Room 109 of the Rondileau Student Union to pick up a free pride flag, pin, or other fun LGBTQ+ swag. While your student is there, encourage them to introduce themselves to our friendly student employees, volunteers, and visitors.
