Student Employment

Things to keep in mind when applying for a job on-campus:

  • Apply online for student position(s) with a resume and cover letter as an undergraduate student registered for 6 credits.
  • You must complete all necessary paperwork with Student Employment with IDs for the I-9 form, state/federal tax forms, and direct deposit bank information.
  • Students are allowed to work a maximum of 20 hours per week inclusive of all positions on campus.

Office of Student Employment
BSU's Student Employment office serves as the human resources function for all student positions on campus.
Our staff:

  • Posts employment opportunities for students
  • Works with students to complete all required paperwork
  • Processes access to timesheets to submit work hours performed

Eligibility
You'll see that positions are categorized as work study and non-work study:

  • Work study positions: Only students awarded work study funds through their financial aid package are eligible
  • Non-work study positions: All undergraduate students are eligible
