Student Government Association

The Student Government Association (SGA) is a student body dedicated to serving the collective interests of the Bridgewater State University community, preparing the community for effective living in a democratic society, advocating for the students' rights and needs, and encouraging self-reliance in the Association's search for truth and justice.

Students can seek out their representatives for support, conversation and ways that they can continue to help build a stronger community. Your student can also be an active member of SGA through election as a senator or other e-board position, or through appointment to a committee or other board. Reach out to SGA for more info.

Check out the link below for more information about what SGA does, but these are some of the highlights:

  • Representing the student voice
  • Influencing school policy
  • Helping to facilitate student/faculty relations
  • Supporting student organizations

SGA helps create an exciting campus experience by supporting the events and activities of BSU's many student organizations. SGA also plans various events to engage the campus community in advocacy work both on and off campus.
