Meal Plans
Mandatory
Meal plans are mandatory for all resident students (except Great Hill Apartments residents) and are refundable in accordance with the meal plan refund policy.
Swipes and Dining Dollars
Meal plans are comprised of a combination of Meal Swipes and Dining Dollars. Meal swipes provide entry into the all-you-care-to-eat dining locations (East Campus Commons and Flynn Dining Commons) and dining dollars are a structured declining balance form of currency accepted in all our dining locations, Starbucks, Dunkin, Bear Bites Food Truck, Crimson Dining & Student Lounge, Bear Trap, and the Bear's Den. Both are redeemable in the dining halls throughout the semester.
Expiration Date
Meal plans expire at the end of each semester and are non-transferable to Flex Dollars. Dining dollars will carry forward from the fall to spring semester. All dining dollars expire at the end of the spring semester and do not carry over to the following fall semester.
Flex Dollars
Flex Dollars can be purchased separately throughout the year and will carry over from year to year (until your student graduates or withdraws from BSU). Flex Dollars can be purchased online, in Cash-to-Card Machines and in Student Accounts.
Food to Go: Starship & GrubHub
Delivery is easier than ever with the Starship Robots! After downloading the app, students can order from the Bear's Den and Crimson Dining to enjoy their favorite meals anywhere on campus. Need to pick up between classes? Grubhub is available at Bear's Den, Dunkin, and Starbucks!
