Subject: Deadline Approaching! Spirit Week & Homecoming - Opportunities for Student Groups and Departments

Homecoming is almost here!

First_Name - Homecoming is right around the corner on October 23rd, with Spirit Week activities starting on October 18th in the lead up to the big day! Student Organiations, and BSU Departments are encouraged to sign up to participate in the different events during the week. This year, more then ever, we have a lot to celebrate as we are back together again! Join us as we welcome students, their families, and alumni to participate in one of BSU's biggest traditions!

For Student Organizations, we have 2 competitions you can participate in:

  • Spirit Week Banner Competition - Pick up a blank banner, decorate with your BSU Spirit and turn it in for judging. We'll get you the criteria before you start creating!
  • Homecoming and Family Day Fair Booths - Create an interactive, dynamic booth at the main event of Spirit Week. Booths are eligible for a $500. Only registered fully recognized student organizations are eligible. Student organization must work independently on this competition.
Administrative and Academic Departments are welcome to participate through:
  • BSU Pride Spirit Week Competition - Decorate your office space and take a group photo showing off your BSU Pride! Winners get bragging rights for the next year, a coveted Spirit Trophy and a small reception to celebrate.
Any recognized group, club, department, residence hall is welcome to participate through:
  • Having a Info Table at the Homecoming Fair - Want to share information about your group, department or service with BSU Students, Family and Alumni? A limited number of tables will be available at the Fair to share info. We encourage you to create a display that is still engaging and shows off BSU Spirit. Info tables will not be entered into competition and are limited to groups with official BSU affiliation. 
  • Participate in another way - Have another idea for how you want to be involved with Spirit Week, Homecoming and Family Day? Let us know your thoughts and we'll see how we can connect you to these events.
