Join us for Bridgewater State University's "AI in Action: Building a Human-Centered Future," our third annual campus AI Summit on Wednesday, April 1, 2026. Expect engaging presentations for both in-person and online sessions that explore a wide range of viewpoints and experiences regarding the role of AI in higher education.

Students can attend any session of their choice. Zoom links for afternoon sessions will be emailed to all who register.

Artificial Intelligence Summit: Morning Keynote Dr. Helen Crompton

Join us for Bridgewater State University's "AI in Action: Building a Human-Centered Future," our third annual campus AI Summit on Wednesday, April 1, 2026. Dr. Crompton situates generative AI within the broader context of higher education, drawing on recent developments and research to describe where the field currently stands. It then addresses documented limitations, risks, and instances of misuse before turning to research-informed ways in which Gen AI can be used in higher education to support teaching and learning.

The keynote is an in-person only experience. Perks include coffee station and breakfast nibbles. After the keynote you can participate in breakout sessions and join for lunch. However, you must register and indicate which sessions you will attend.

Artificial Intelligence Summit: Afternoon Keynote Dr. Tiera Tanksley

Join us for Bridgewater State University's "AI in Action: Building a Human-Centered Future," our third annual campus AI Summit on Wednesday, April 1, 2026. Using real research and examples, Dr. Tanksley explores how AI can reflect bias and deepen inequality, while asking who benefits from these technologies and who is left out. Centering justice and equity, the program highlights how Black youth in the Race, Abolition and Artificial Intelligence program are challenging harmful systems and imagining more just possibilities for AI in education.

The afternoon keynote is an a virtual experience with viewing. After the keynote you can participate in virtual breakout sessions of your choice. However, you must register and indicate which sessions you will attend in order to get the zoom links.
