About Us

The National Dance Education Organization (NDEO) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement and promotion of high-quality education in the art of dance. NDEO provides the dance artist, educator, and administrator a network of resources and support, a base for advocacy, and access to programs that focus on the importance of dance in the human experience. Student Chapters (NSO) are local associations of college-aged students that align their mission and activities with NDEO's mission to advance dance education centered in the arts. NSOs are comprised of students interested in dance and dance education at degree-awarding institutions or professional dance education programs that are Institutional Members of NDEO to provide opportunities for students aspiring to create a career in dance or dance education. It provides research opportunities, the ability to go to the national conference, and to build leadership within each student.
