Mission

The Bartlett College of Science and Mathematics champions the academic and life endeavors of all students, promotes our community of teacher-scholars, and works to improve our region and world. Faculty, staff, and students collaborate to produce the finest possible educational experiences in the sciences and mathematics through innovative and effective course design and undergraduate and graduate student research. Our work is greatly enriched by collaborations extending beyond Bridgewater State University through internships, impactful community and global service, and student-focused industry partnerships. We employ diverse strategies to inspire our graduates to become confident, informed, and discerning citizens and decision-makers capable of fully understanding and eagerly investigating the world around them.

Vision

We seek to be the university of choice for science and mathematics students in Massachusetts and beyond by providing high quality academic programs, research and internship opportunities, meaningful service experiences, and modern facilities. Through our Center for the Advancement of STEM Education (CASE), we strive to serve as an outstanding resource for BSU faculty and staff members, students, and the regional K-12 community. We aim to be recognized as a source of highly motivated scientists and mathematicians who are prepared to apply what they have learned to address complex community, state, and global challenges.
