The psychology department offers a major in psychology leading to the Bachelor of Science degree, and a minor in psychology in our undergraduate program, as well as a Master of Arts program in Clinical Psychology in the graduate program. The mission of the Department of Psychology is to provide our majors with the following: 1. An understanding of psychology and what psychologists do, 2. A background in psychology that will help them do their jobs better, 3. Sufficient training to enhance their opportunities for placement in psychology-related occupations, and 4. Sufficient preparation to permit majors who intend to become professional psychologists to be competitive in achieving admission to and success in graduate schools.
