A message from Acting Assistant Vice President for Student Engagement and Dean of Students, Elizabeth Ching-Bush
Dear BSU Students, ÔÇ»
Spring is here! It is that time in the Spring semester where we are finally experiencing some warm weather! With the approach of the end of the semester, more opportunities for safely gathering and celebrating are here. As we gather and engage with one another, we want to take this time to encourage you to be mindful and conscious of behaviors that you choose to participate in. Your actions can affect you, our campus and the greater Bridgewater community and we need your partnership to keep everyone safe.ÔÇ»
Should you find yourself or others in situations where they may need medical assistance, we hope and encourage that individuals will call for help. You can immediately contact the Bridgewater State University Police Department at 508-531-1212, or Bridgewater Police atÔÇ»508-697-6118ÔÇ»to provide swift assistance for anyone in need of help.
Please know and realize our main concern is first assisting students in need. Therefore, you should be aware of our Amnesty Policy for those students who assist other students in medical need. Furthermore, reviewing our Student Code of Conduct will provide you with information about your rights and responsibilities as students in working to promote a positive, safe living and learning environment both on and off campus. The Office of Community StandardsÔÇ»will continue to partner with the BSU Police Department and the Town of Bridgewater Police Department as well as other law officials to address unacceptable behavior. Should any violations of civil and criminal codes and laws occur, in addition to our Code of Conduct, students will be held accountable.
As a student of BSU and someone who lives either on campus or a neighbor who lives in an area that surrounds our campus, please be helpful to one another.ÔÇ»Listed below are some important numbers to have available should you need any assistance:
- Bridgewater State University Police Department: 508-531-1212
