As you know, tomorrow is April Fool's Day. But (no punchline here) we do have a club meeting tomorrow in the lounge from 5pm to 6pm. Please bring your favorite board game or card game to play! I will also be stopping by the library tomorrow to borrow some games. If you have any requests, let me know and I'll see what I can get.
Now for some brief announcements...
Here are some upcoming events that we have planned for the rest of the semester:
4/15 = GeoSociety Meeting from 5pm to 6pm
4/27 = Western Mass Field Trip (ALL DAY)
4/29 = Last Club Meeting of the Semester (coloring and reflection)
5/2 = Breaking Geodes in UPark from 12pm to 3pm with Facilities and the Pride Center
5/6 = End-of-Year Pizza Party
Please let me know well in advance if you plan on attending these. Knowing how many people are coming is super helpful when it comes to ordering food and organizing transportation!
For the Western Mass Trip, this is our annual excursion led by the wonderful Dr. Brandon! She went to school in the Amherst area and has a lot of amazing hikes planned for us throughout the day. That said, it would be helpful to know if anyone has any mobility issues that we should take into consideration when picking our trails. For example, I have asthma that is excercise and elevation-induced, so steep hikes with a lot of elevation gain is very challenging for me; so I usually prefer flatter terrain! We want this trip to be fun and inclusive for everyone, regardless of skill level or ability. Please feel free to message me privately if you are uncomfortable disclosing information to the group.
More information will be available at our club meeting tomorrow! I look forward to seeing you all there!
Best wishes,
