Principal

Middleborough High School

Paul Branagan is the very proud principal of Middleborough High School in Middleborough, MA. Paul has served the students of Middleborough for the last 28 years. He has served in the role of History Teacher, Department Leader for History and Social Studies, Assistant Principal and is in his 13th year as the Principal. The role of Principal has been his favorite position. Paul deeply believes that he never left the classroom...the classroom just got much bigger.

Paul has served as the State Executive Director for the Massachusetts Association of Student Councils since 2005. In this role, Paul works with high schools throughout the Commonwealth helping with their student councils and leadership programs.

Paul was very active during his memorable years at BSU. Paul was very active in the Student Government Association (SGA), serving as the Vice President during his senior year. Paul was President of Kappa Delta Phi Fraternity, Orientation Leader and coordinated the orientation program for new parents. Paul was a member of the Program Committee and served on numerous committees throughout his time at BSU. Paul graduated with his bachelor's degree in history in 1995 and his master's degree in history education in 2002. Paul feels very strongly that his experiences at BSU shaped him to be the educator and leader that he is today.

Jess is Currently a Diversity Equity and Inclusion Specialist at Sensata Technologies based out of Attleboro Massachusetts. Assisting all fourteen chapters of employee resources groups at the company with event and finance management. Sensata is a global company where business and operations sites are in 14 countries. Working with employees all over the world to create a more inclusive and diverse community. Examples of employee resource groups available to employees are Women in Sensata, Sensata Hispanic Association, Sensata Emerging professionals, Disability Awareness and more! 

As an undergrad Jess was involved in Program Council, served as a student engagement Student Engagement Assistant in CSE, and now an alumni of Phi Sigma Sigma!!

Senior District Representative & Lead Immigration Specialist

Brockton Office - US Congressman Lynch

Keyana currently works for US Congressman Lynch as his Senior District Representative & Lead Immigration Specialist- managing his Brockton office as well. She has been on staff since 2021. During my time at BSU Keyana was involved in Greek life, serving as President and PRVP of Gamma Phi Beta, was a resident assistant, apart of NRHH, served on the student advisory board, worked in OSIL, now known as CSE, was a peer advisor in the AAC and worked as a student orientation coordinator in the summer for the AAC. She is very excited to chat with you all and share any knowledge/experience that may be helpful during your own BSU journey.

Director of Employee and Labor Relations

Bridgewater State University

Kevin Costa, Esq. is a proud member of Bridgewater State University’s Class of 2015 and a dedicated leader in the fields of law and higher education. As a student, Kevin was deeply involved on campus, serving as Student Government Association President, President and Co-Founder of the Honors Student Congress, President of the Portuguese American Student Association, an Orientation Leader, a brother of Phi Kappa Theta Fraternity and Order of Omega, a student employee, and Homecoming King.

After graduating summa cum laude with a degree in History, Kevin went on to obtain his Juris Doctor with a Concentration in Business and Commercial Law from Northeastern University School of Law. During law school, Kevin gained hands-on legal experience working at the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Rhode Island and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. Kevin is also a trained mediator with the Harvard Law School Mediation Program, enhancing his ability to navigate complex workplace and legal disputes.

Kevin started his legal career as an Attorney for a large Boston litigation firm before shifting his focus to employment law. Today, he serves as the Director of Employee and Labor Relations at BSU, where he oversees labor relations for more than 1,100 employees and manages the University’s relationships with its three unions.

In addition to his professional role, Kevin remains highly engaged with his alma mater, currently serving as President of the Bridgewater State University Alumni Association. Through his work, he continues to support and strengthen the BSU community, helping to shape the future of BSU and its graduates.  Outside of work, Kevin is married to fellow BSU Alum, Gabriella Costa (née Diniz)’14, and a proud father of two future BSU Bears.
