What a great time!
Today, Students for Life at Bridgewater was the first in the country to host SFLA's Spring Tour, presenting information about the harms of chemical abortion to women and babies. We had some very constructive conversations, and even students who had different perspectives on abortion expressed concern about chemical abortion pills being mailed to people without any doctor visits or proper vetting.
We also had many students come who needed no convincing, and it was great to tell them more about our club and invite them to get involved. We gained four new members on EngageBSU, including one who joined us in tabling!
Thank you so much to those who participated in tabling today! Also I want to thank a member who is currently traveling, but helped us to amplify this on social media! (Check out our Instagram here).
Coming Up:
I'm looking forward to doing more events and getting to know our new members better. Unfortunately, we won't have a regular meeting next Monday due to President's Day, but I'm thinking about a special meeting later that week, so stay tuned.
Another cool event coming up is a 45-minute virtual webinar hosted by Massachusetts Citizens for Life, this Thursday at 7PM. The theme is "how to talk with abortion supporters" and it will feature Monica Snyder, executive director of Secular Pro-Life. If you want to better communicate pro-life beliefs to people of different backgrounds, I recommend signing up!
On the 23rd, our club will host an movie night to see the powerful film Unplanned. And some more events are in the works! I'm attaching a flyer with tentative plans here.
Let's keep the momentum going as we work to save lives and shine the Light of Christ in our culture!
God bless you,
Gabriel Dionisi |
