Details

Celebrate both Black History Month and the meaningful work BSU students are doing in the diverse fields that are part of Black Studies. At this Academic Showcase, you will hear wide-ranging student research on topics including the following: pre-colonial West African politics; how Langston Hughes is taught in high schools; Caribbean short fiction; Black women’s maternal health; and visual artworks of the Obamas. Dr. Vignon Oussa will deliver a keynote, “On the History of Black Mathematicians.”
